A Diary for the Topmost Events for the Economy

Bank of England Deputy Governor Jon Cunliffe and ECB Vice President Vitor Constancio will be discussing the regulations for the banks on October 20 in London. On the same day, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis will be hosting a webinar an a conference about the “Fed Perspectives on Community Banking” of which Federal Reserve Board Governor Jerome Powell is participating.

A Diary for the Topmost Events for the EconomyStill on the same day, Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda will attend the quarterly meeting hosted by the Bank of Japan for the branch managers in the regions. He will be delivering a brief message at the start of the meeting. This meeting will also be generating periodical reports on the economy’s regional sectors. Meanwhile in Berlin, a shared news conference will be held between French counterparts Michel Sapin and Emmanuel Macron and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel and Germany’s Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble.

On October 21, the proceedings of the October Monetary Policy Meeting will be issued by the RBA followed by the Bank England on the 22 and Bank of Japan on October 31. Earlier morning on the same day, there will be 7th Annual Australasian Fixed Income Conference, Sydney by the Bank of Australia of which RBA Deputy Governor Philip Lowe will be a speaker. On the other hand, the ICMB Public Conference will have Swiss National Bank (SNB) Governing Board Member Fritz Zurbruegg as a speaker and he would talk about “Long-time low interest rates – too much of a good thing?”.

For the next day, October 22, the discussion of the final rulemaking will be hosted by the Federal Reserve Board in Washington. There will also be business meetings, appearances and summits that will be happening in London, Ottawa, Sydney, Ljubljana and Madrid.

On the 24th the focus of the diary is in Milan Italy, Toronto on the 27th, Washington on the 28th and 29th and Wellington on the 30th.
