Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) has started delivering its promises that it has made to its customers as compensation for the hack attempt which caused blackout at its network during Christmas.
The tech company had promised compensation of an extension of five days on the PlayStation Plus subscriptions and 10 percent discount on the PlayStation Store to the existing users.
The company has outlined the details of its10 percent discounts on its blog. The PlayStation Network users can claim their discount offers from Friday until 9am GMT (2:30pm IST) January 26 from the PlayStation Store.
Sony had, however, implemented the extension offer automatically.
The discounts cover almost everything covered by the store with an obvious set of exclusions. Some of the offers included into the subscriptions include: PS Plus, PlayStation TV, pre-orders and transactions made on PlayStation Store via the PS Vita, or PlayStation Portable.
The users need to redeem the code at checkout, either via PS3, PS4 or online at digital storefront of Sony.
According to the company’s blog, the users can’t claim the 10 percent discounts on Music Unlimited service or rental video content of Sony.
As announced by Sony in an earlier blog post, the 10 percent discount will be working on already discounted games.
