Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat leader, on Tuesday announced that she will not be contesting the presidential election in 2016.
The Democrat leader spoke her mind over her poll ambitions during an interview with Fortune Magazine, which was released Tuesday morning.
This confirmation comes nearly a month after she had told a news agency that she was not running for president on three separate occasions, when pressed about a potential run in 2016.
The Massachusetts Senator was seen as a potential challenger to Democratic frontrunner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has also not revealed whether she will race for the presidential post.
Warren was recently included in the Democratic leadership team as a strategic adviser of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee in the Upper Chamber. The position was solely created for her.
