At Florida Preschool More Than 25 Children Felt Ill

Some of the kids remained at the Florida preschool because the officials could not reach their parents and the workers there could not stay at the facility.

More than 19 children were taken to the hospital after 30 felt ill at Florida preschool. Monday afternoon the Lauderhill Fire Rescue units got to a preschool were more than 30 children felt ill and they transported some of them to the hospital.

“[Crews] found multiple children in various degrees of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea,” said Lauderhill Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Jeff Levy. “They immediately called for additional resources.”

After the children were triaged the ones that were in worse shape were taken to the hospital. Some of the children were unresponsive and some were barely standing on their feet. The kids that were not as sick were taken by their parents to the hospital to see if they were going to be ok and to receive treatment.

The problem is that all of the children experienced nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea which can be fatal to young kids because they can dehydrate very quickly. Some of these kids are in serious threat and they need to remain at the hospital to receive treatment.

Nobody knows exactly what caused the kids to feel ill but doctors believe that the lunch food can be responsible for that. If this it tied to the food more kids could suffer from this because they all eat at the facility. Maybe some of the kids that didn’t get sick yet are not as sensitive when it comes to food poisoning.

Another problem is that these children are in a worse condition that doctors believed and some of them are unconscious at the moment. More and more parents are concerned that their children could get sick as well. An investigation should be made in order to see who is responsible for these children being ill and hospitalized.

Some of the kids remained at the Florida preschool because the officials could not reach their parents and the workers there could not stay at the facility. The people who are responsible for this should pay for the medical expenses of these children.

Let’s hope that they find out who was responsible for these children from the Florida preschool getting sick. Also, let’s hope that these kids are going to be alright after they leave the hospital.
