Brace yourselves for futuristic wearables: biometric tech tattoos could soon replace regular fitness bands simply because they are much more efficient and comfortable. Developer Chaotic Moon Studios have illustrated how these biometric tech tattoos actually work through the recent video they have published on their official channel.
Fitness bands are rather new and recent, but developers already think they have something better to replace them with: the biometric tech tattoos which can monitor your heart rate, your body temperature and your blood pressure. There are also many other functions that tech tattoos have including one that counts the calories that wearers burn.
The next feature that I will introduce to you might arise suspicions among users. This because the biometric tech tattoos can be used to keep track of a person’s location with the help of a special smartphone app. Conspiracy lovers and people who care about their privacy feel the need to protest against these biometric tech tattoos, but developers reassure us that people’s rights will never be violated.
There is no need for you to worry, in their opinion, as these biometric tattoos are temporary. They can be easily removed when users no longer need them by simply detaching them from the surface of the skin. According to the video, temporary tech tattoos only take a few seconds to apply by pressing them against the skin with a soft cloth.
It is yet too early to talk about price ranges and availability because these tattoos haven’t been mass produced, yet. The company will first test the market to determine users’ response to them. If temporary tech tattoos are widely accepted by the public, production will be boosted, too.
Given the rapid progress that technology is registering, Chaotic Moon Studios thinks it is better for these tattoos to be just temporary. They have foreseen users’ need to keep up with evolving trends and they assume buyers don’t want to be stuck with an outdated biometric tattoo on their shoulders. We can’t argue with them on that.
Investors are already showing signs of interest towards the new tattoo-based technology. They think this technology has a lot of potential: it can be used to make remote payments and help the U.S. military forces to locate their soldiers. Soon, we could see mic tattoos from Motorola – a redefinition of mobile and wearable devices.
