Soylent Recalls Food Bars After Customers Get Sick

Soylent food bar

Soylent recalled food bars because customers were feeling ill.

Soylent, a company that produces meal replacement supplements, decided to recall its food bars. This decision was made after a lot of customers reported they were feeling ill after eating the bars. Soylent officials also said they will not sell the products until they will make sure people are not in danger.

It seems that the company in making some tests, hoping they will find out what caused the illness. Until now, they were not able to discover the main cause. Those of you who bought products from Soylent have two options: you can contact the company and get a refund or you will have to throw them away. The most important thing is not to eat the food bars.

The issue started when more customers  complained they got sick after eating those food bars. The most common symptoms were vomiting and diarrhea. Even though the bars should provide us with the nutrients we need, it seems that it side-effects were making people feel worse.

There are people who work at Soylent that claim the main cause for these side-effects it could be a higher level of sucralose. The food bars have more sucralose in comparison with Soylent 1.6 drink powder. However, most customers explained they have been using products with sucralose for a long time and they have never felt sick due to them.

What is more interesting is that the health problems started from September, even though the food bars have been on the market for a longer time. While the company is looking for answers, there are 57 people who recover after eating food bars.

Soylent also produces meal replacements in powdered forms. They claim their products meet all the nutritional needs for an adult. It was first developed by Rob Rhinehart, who also tried the products. After he was sure they were safe, the meal replacement supplements were sold on the market.

At the moment, Soylent makes millions of dollars from selling its products in the United States. In almost two years, the company managed to become one of the most popular on the market. They have more plans in the future, which include shipping their products to Europe. We are expecting the test results regarding the food bars.

The company did not say anything about reducing the sucralose in their products. However, some changes will be made if they do not want to lose their customers.
